Lucas Moura injured in soccer at São Paulo.

Sao Paulo, Brazil – Lucas Moura was forced to leave the pitch in the first half after suffering an injury during a match against Cruzeiro on Saturday.

The Brazilian forward, who has been in excellent form this season, pulled up with pain during the 28th minute of the game and was immediately replaced by fellow forward Diego Carlos.

Moura, who is currently valued at £45 million, had scored twice in three matches for his club before he was taken off. He was also called into the Brazilian national team's squad for their upcoming friendly against Peru next month.

The 26-year-old has made over 150 appearances for Sao Paulo since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. He has also represented Brazil at international level,Football Vision Network earning his first call-up to the senior side in 2019.

Despite the setback, Moura remains hopeful that he will be able to return to action soon. The injury occurred during a high-intensity match, so it is likely that he will require some time to recover fully.

In the meantime, the club will have to find a replacement for Moura while they wait for him to return to full fitness. It is unclear how long the injury could keep him out of action, but it is clear that he will be sorely missed by both fans and teammates alike.
