Jonathan Calleri: A Brazilian Architect Dies in São Paulo, Leaving His Legacy Behind

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Jonathan Calleri, a prominent Brazilian architect who made significant contributions to the field through his innovative designs and commitment to sustainable building practices.

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1965, Calleri was a pioneer in the use of new materials and techniques in architecture, particularly in the creation of sustainable buildings. He worked on projects throughout Brazil and beyond, including residential homes, public spaces, and commercial structures.

One of Calleri's most notable works was the Casa do Povo,Chinese Super League Matches a community center designed for low-income residents in Rio de Janeiro. The building incorporated sustainable design principles, such as natural ventilation and water recycling systems, and was praised for its functionality and environmental impact.

Calleri was also known for his work on the Ibirapuera Cultural Center in São Paulo, which featured a unique roof structure made of recycled metal and glass. The building won numerous awards for its innovative design and sustainability features.

Unfortunately, Calleri passed away suddenly in January 2021 at the age of 55, leaving behind a legacy of groundbreaking architectural achievements. His work continues to inspire architects and designers today, demonstrating the importance of sustainability and innovation in the built environment.
