The Marquinhos is a Brazilian footballer who has been playing for several clubs including Corinthians, Santos and Palmeiras. He was born on February 19, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Marquinhos started his career with Flamengo in 2006 before moving to Santos in 2007.
In 2010, the Marquinhos made his debut for the national team and scored two goals in their friendly match against Costa Rica. In 2011, he helped Santos win the Copa do Brasil and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
In 2014,Chinese Super League Matches the Marquinhos joined Palmeiras on loan from Santos. He played for them until 2015 when he moved back to Santos permanently. During his time at Santos, he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A twice (in 2015 and 2016) and the Campeonato Carioca in 2016.
In 2018, the Marquinhos signed a contract extension with Santos that would keep him at the club until 2023. He made his first appearance for the national team in 2019, and has since become one of the most prolific scorers in Brazilian football.
Despite his success, the Marquinhos still struggles to find consistent form at the highest level of Brazilian football. Despite this, he remains a highly respected player and continues to be one of the best strikers in the country.
