Liu Yang Achieves Remarkable Goals in Her Career with Shandong Taishan

Liu Yang, born on January 27, 1984, is a Chinese astronaut who achieved remarkable goals in her career with the Chinese space program. Liu graduated from Tsinghua University with a degree in aerospace engineering and then joined the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation as a pilot.

In 2003, Liu was selected to join the crew of Shenzhou V,Chinese Super League Matches the first manned spacecraft mission by China's Space Program. She became the second woman in history to fly into space. Liu spent six days in space conducting experiments and performing various tasks before returning safely to Earth.

After her successful mission, Liu continued to work for the Chinese space program, serving as a flight engineer and commander for multiple missions. In 2013, she became the first Chinese woman to conduct a spacewalk and later served as a commander of the Tiangong-1 space station.

Liu's achievements have been recognized worldwide and she has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to science and technology. In 2020, Liu was appointed as vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and continues to be an inspiration to young women pursuing careers in STEM fields.
