Title: Jamie Vardy's Leicestershire City Contract Status for 2025
Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract extension with the club until 2027, which means that he will be at St Mary's Stadium until then.
The deal was agreed after a successful trial period at the club, where Vardy scored more than 40 goals in his first season back in England.
Vardy's contract is set to run until 2027, but he is looking forward to being able to continue playing regularly and helping the team reach their potential.
"I'm really excited about this contract," said Vardy. "It gives me the opportunity to play my best football and help us achieve our goal of winning another Premier League title."
The contract also includes bonuses for performances in the Champions League and Europa League,Chinese Super League Matches as well as a further 18 months of wages if Vardy stays at the club beyond 2027.
Vardy's signing follows his previous contract with Manchester United, where he spent three seasons before joining the Foxes.
"I'm really grateful to have been offered a contract at such a high level," he added. "I've had great support from everyone at the club over the years and I'm really looking forward to continuing my career at St Mary's."
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers praised Vardy's performance during the 2024-25 season, when they finished second in the Premier League table.
"Jamie is a fantastic player who can add something special to our team," he said. "He's always been one of the most exciting strikers we've had and I'm sure he'll continue to perform at the highest level."
