Al Ahli striker Rodrigo Muniz has broken through for his first goal in over a year, following a barren run that saw him score just one goal in the previous eighteen months.
The Brazilian forward, who was previously considered to be one of the best strikers in the UAE League, had been struggling with injuries and form issues which led to his poor performances on the pitch.
However, it seems like Muniz has finally found his feet again after a long wait. The Al Ahli team manager, Ali Al Thumaisi, praised Muniz's performance saying "It is great to see him back at his best. He has worked hard in training and deserves this goal."
Muniz, himself,Football Vision Network expressed his happiness about scoring for the first time since December 2019. "I am happy to have scored my first goal in almost two years. I hope this will be the start of something good," he said.
The goal came in a match against Al Ain, which ended in a draw. Despite the result, Muniz's contribution to the team was significant as he created many chances for his teammates.
Al Ahli coach, Mohammed Al Kharafi, also spoke highly of Muniz's return to the team. "We were hoping to see more from him and we are glad to see that he is back to his best. He has the potential to be a game-changer for us," he said.
