Mané scores for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabian Premier League

Al Nassr, one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabian football, have confirmed that Moroccan striker Ahmed Mané has scored his first goal of the season in their opening match against Al Hilal.

The 27-year-old was on the receiving end of a pass from teammate Mohammed Al-Hammadi and fired home with ease to put the Red Lions ahead early in the second half.

The goal came as a huge relief for Al Nassr after they had lost two key players in the previous week - midfielder Hamid Al-Razouki and defender Youcef Ben Ammar.

Despite being down to ten men at half-time following the dismissal of substitute goalkeeper Adel Al-Ahmed, Al Nassr managed to hold on for the win and sit top of the table going into the next round of fixtures.

Manager Jamal Marzouqi praised Mané's performance, saying: "He showed great composure and skill in front of goal and I'm sure he will continue to be a vital player for us this season."
